இயேசுவால் வந்த பூரண தயவே!
உலகமெல்லாம் மீட்கும் பாக்கியத்திரள்!
யாவர்க்காயும் பாயும்; நீ என் மேல் புரள்
2. பாவங்கள் ஏராளம், கறை நிறைந்தேன்
மனங்கசந்து நான் கண்ணீர் சொரிந்தேன்
அழுகை வீணாம்! ரத்தாம்பரக்கடல்!
அலை சுத்திசெய்யும்; வா என் மேல் புரள்
3. ஆசைகள் அகோரம், கோபம் கொடூரம்
உள்ளத்தை ஆளுது தீமையின் உரம்;
உன் அலைகளின் கீழ், ஓ! பெருங்கடல்!
மீட்புத்தோன்றுதிதோ; வா, என்மேல் புரள்
4. சோதனைகள் மோத, பயங்கள் சூழ
பாழாச்சுதென் ஜீவன் சுகங்கள் மாள

5. தயா சாகரமே! வாஞ்சையாய் நின்றேன்
ஜீவிக்கும் ஆச்சர்ய அலை ஓரம் நான்,
திரும்ப வந்தேன் கறை போக்குங் கடல்!
உன்னை விட்டுப் போகேன்; வா, என்மேல் புரள்

மீட்க வல்லோன் என்னும் இரைச்சல் கேட்டேன்
மீட்படைவேன் என்று நம்பி அலையில்
